Amsterdam
Description
FLE is delighted to offer one of the most colourful cities in the world as an initial option for our training locations.
Vibrant Amsterdam lies on the banks of two bodies of water, the IJ bay and the Amstel River. With humble beginnings in the late 12th century as a small fishing village, it is now the largest city in the Netherlands, boasting 1.5 million people in the greater Amsterdam area.
As the financial and cultural centre of the Netherlands it provides a stunning backdrop for participants who wish to enjoy a broad perspective on the cities which they visit. Blending the historic with the modern Amsterdam is one of Europe’s treasure troves for lovers of architecture and a centre of international importance in terms of modern design. From the breathtaking modernism of the ING building back through the ages to the warehousing in Entrepotdok (dating from the early 1700’s), the city is a wonderland for those who appreciate style.
The city boasts one of the largest historic city centres in Europe and numbers 7000 national monuments. In addition to these unique highlights the city also offers the potential of a vast array of restaurants, cosy pubs, flower markets and all of the facilities synonymous with a large and very modern city.
FLE intend to take full advantage of Amsterdam’s commercial heart and offer programmes which will be presented in office locations which reflect the quality of the learning available. See at first hand how a major corporation organises their services at your learning venue.
As you might expect there are a variety of ways to reach the city, your choice might be via Schipol airport, once again named as the best airport in Europe this year.
Come to Amsterdam and enjoy the city which is world famous for its free-spirited liberalism and is a world leader in diversity and tolerance.
