Business of FM (Part 1) The first part of a two part course where participants are immersed in the principles, characteristics, theories and concepts that make up the business of FM. The focus here is on basic principles, the people and leading the organisation.
Business of FM (Part 2) The second part of the introductory course in which we focus on Operations and Maintenance, Finance, Real Estate, Planning and Project Management
Human and Environmental Factors Facilities affect the health, safety, performance, comfort, satisfaction, and morale of individual employees and the organization as a whole. Facilities also affect the environment. Emergency response, recovery planning and how to safeguard the business are all included in this wide ranging course.
Planning and Project Management All projects require managers to create a project plan, develop a budget and schedule, and manage the programming and design phases. To bring projects in on time and on budget you need the technical skills in this course.
Quality Assessment and Innovation Participants apply tools that integrate all the FM competencies into a complete, simple system focused on delivering quality and improving service and shown how to identify reliable information sources for establishing quality standards.
The Communication Competency Course In today's collaborative work environment you must work through others and with others to accomplish almost anything. This course will cover the entire range of communication, from interpersonal communication to the latest in communication technologies.
The Finance Competency Course As a facility manager, you need to speak the language of business. Money talks - and you need upper management to listen. Learn how to communicate the fiscal importance of facilities to executive management and influence decision-making.
The Leadership and Management Competency Course People, places and processes can help you build the type of FM department that's right for your organization. This competency area presents the FM as a planner, organizer, leader, coordinator, and evaluator.
The Operations and Maintenance Competency Course Operations and maintenance functions comprise the majority of the operations that have to be managed on a day-to-day basis and are the source of 95 to 97 percent of the problems. Microsoft Programme Feedback March 2007
